Breaking: Human Accomplice Emerges in Monroe Street Crane Crossing Mystery

In a stunning development following September’s report of four sandhill cranes utilizing a Monroe Street crosswalk, an anonymous source has contacted the Monroe Street Tattler claiming responsibility for activating the pedestrian crossing lights on the birds’ behalf.

The source, who requested anonymity, reports keeping an eye out for the cranes while working from home and occasionally pressing the crossing button when the birds approach.

The cranes, apparently lacking the necessary hands to operate the equipment themselves, have been relying on the kindness of a nearby human.

The Tattler has not independently confirmed whether the cranes are aware of this arrangement.

This remains a developing story.
